    Aardvark Safari Lodge is a recently opened accommodation facility in Queen Elizabeth National Park, just a stone’s throw from Katunguru Bridge. It is one of the ease-to-access lodges as the signpost is right there as you head to the gate.

    This beautiful lodge boasts a raw natural environment – typically bush, hence providing the golden opportunity of sighting wildlife, especially for elephants, hippos, and cape buffaloes among others.     Game drives

    Aardvark Safari Lodge is less than 15 minutes’ drive from the Kasenyi Plains in northern Queen Elizabeth National Park hence guests are guaranteed free and effortless sights of visiting animals, especially elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and a number of antelopes. However, the great location also means a chance to easily connect for your safari game drives in the park, where more animals such as lions, leopards, Uganda Kobs, Defassa waterbucks, topis, hippos, and others are likely to be sighted.

    Boat Cruises

    Guests staying at Aardvark Safari Lodge can easily connect to Kazinga Channel for boat cruises. This 40-kilometer-long natural channel is home to the park’s high concentration of hippos and nile crocodiles. These are usually sighted basking or relaxing along the banks together with elephants, buffaloes, and lots of aquatic and wetland bird species.

    You can choose the morning boat cruise, starting at 9:00 am, the afternoon schedule starting at 2:00 pm, or the sunset cruise that usually begins at 4:00 pm with great views of the sun setting down the horizon.

    Bush walks

    Aardvark Safari Lodge is still raw and unspoiled hence you can enjoy bush walks around the property, or better still opt for the guided walk. This takes you through selected places of the park with great chances of sighting animals, birds, unique plant species and appreciate the beautiful landscape.

    Visitors to Queen Elizabeth National Park always complement their visit with a gorilla trekking safari in the nearby Bwindi Forest National Park or a chimpanzee trekking expedition in Kibale National Park. Others could opt for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to Murchison Falls.
