Lake Nyamusingire is a crater lake that is situated in the Rubirizi district, in western Uganda. Lake Nyamusingire is a crater lake and is nearby to Chekoba and Nyakiyanja, at an approximate terrain elevation above sea level of 1,010 meters. In some cases, the lake is referred to as Lake Nyamisigeri or Lake Niamsigeri.
Lake Nyamusingire is located in Queen Elizabeth National Park which park is located in southwest Uganda in the Kasese district. This is about 6 hour drive from Kampala, the capital of Uganda.
The common activities carried out on Lake Nyamusingire include; nature walks around the lake in the ancient Maramagambo forest. This gives you an opportunity of exploring the bat cave, which is home to thousands of bats and is also known for the gigantic rock pythons. You will also enjoy bird watching; canoe rides as well as kayaking trips on the largest crater lake in Uganda.

Queen Elizabeth National Park which is approximately 1,978 square kilometers (764 sq mi) is one of Uganda’s oldest national parks formed officially, along with Murchison Falls National Park in 1952. It is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination located in the western region of Uganda, spanning the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Rubirizi, and Rukungiri.
